A new report suggests that the legendary dragon Fin Fang Foom will be a central plot point in Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

It seems the villainous Fin Fang Foom could be on his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A new report from Murphy’s Multiverse indicates that the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings plot will revolve around protecting the sleeping Makluan from being unleashed on the world. In recent news, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi has been delayed further into 2021 as the MCU undergoes a huge reshuffle due to the ongoing pandemic. But when the film finally does arrive, it might feature Fin Fang Foom himself.

Simu Liu Reflects On ‘Shang-Chi’ Announcement From San Diego Comic-Con 2019

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, the huge village set built for Shang-Chi is part of the Valley of the Sleeping Dragon and has a temple in the center of the huts. There’s also reportedly a “battledome” for warriors to train as Fin Fang Foom’s protectors. Interestingly, the outlet also noted that Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi was casting for “ancient warriors” earlier this year. Since the Ten Rings referred to in the title are similar to the Infinity Stones, it wouldn’t be surprising if Marvel has changed their powers. If Fin Fang Foom does make an appearance in the movie, the Ten Rings could easily be switched to allow the user control over the Makluan alien. But that’s just pure speculation at this point.
